Degree Apprenticeship Scheme enthuses staff

postgraduateAcademics from Portsmouth Business School and the HR Department recently hosted a lunch time drop-in opportunity for University staff to ask questions about the forthcoming Degree Apprenticeships.

PBS is offering 25 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeships to existing staff with a September 2017 start for the three-year course. This Degree Apprenticeship, as well as providing leadership and management skills, will lead to the following qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) Business Leadership and Management
  • Chartered Manager Status
  • Level 5 CMI Diplomas
  • Full Level 6 Apprenticeship Certification

For further details on the Degree Apprenticeship course, please visit BA (Hons) Business Leadership and Management.

The drop-in session was aimed at potential students and their managers, with the intention of raising awareness about the level of commitment required by the Degree Apprenticeship and the impact on all involved.

The session was run on a one-to-one basis and over 20 staff members took advantage of the opportunity. The event was considered to be a success and reflected the considerable interest and enthusiasm among staff for the scheme.

Queries that were raised at the event have now been incorporated into some Frequently Asked Questions, on the HR webpage ‘University of Portsmouth Apprenticeships – what are they and how do they work.’

If you wish to apply for this course, please complete the Expression of Interest form by Wednesday 31 May 2017.
