Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation that brings some of the most brilliant scientists to your local pub to discuss their latest research and findings with you. Founded five years ago by two UK researchers, this year the event is taking place in 26 UK cities, each presenting a unique line up of talks, demonstrations and live experiments.
You don’t need any prior knowledge, and this is your chance to meet the people responsible for the future of science (and have a pint with them).
As part of the national event, 18 researchers from the University of Portsmouth will be speaking at two pubs in Southsea – The Barley Mow and The Fat Fox – over three evenings in May (15–17).
Entry cost is only £4 each evening. Tickets and more information available from the Pint of Science website (https://pintofscience.co.uk/events/portsmouth).
