Graduates showcase work at London Fashion Week

Four Fashion and Textile Design graduates have showcased their collections at London fashion week.

The show was part of an event held at the height of London Fashion Week at the Wella World Studios on Trafalgar Square. Alexandra Marin, Dayle Rushton, Isabelle Mariess and Kyle Moody, who all graduated last year, showed off their creations on the catwalk to the fashion press and industry professionals.

The event was organised by Raw Edge London, an organisation co-founded by Tom Clulee, Course Leader on the BA (Hons) Fashion and Textile Design course as a platform for fashion students to present their work.

Tom said: “The thinking behind Raw Edge is to give emerging designers an opportunity to showcase their work to the industry when all eyes are on London. The event is a really important stepping stone for these young designers to get the exposure they need and deserve and also a fantastic opportunity to network with professionals from across the industry and media.

“We are very proud that at an internationally supported event half the designers came from the University of Portsmouth. It firmly establishes us as a hotbed for emerging fashion talent.”
