Researchers from the Department of Psychology are recruiting line up members for an eyewitness identification experiment. Participants would be video-recorded and photographed (recordings will serve as stimuli for eyewitness identification research), would act a brief staged theft, and then would appear in a live line up. Participants need to come on at least two days (see the date section) for a brief recording session in the morning, and then in the afternoon from 1 till 4pm.
Potential participants will be asked to send the research team a photograph of themselves and provide basic information about their appearance (e.g., age, ethnicity, hair colour, hair length, height, and build). This information will serve the research team to select participants of similar appearance for a specific day.
If you are interested or have any questions – please contact the research team immediately!
Volunteers must be:
- Age: 18+
- Gender: Male
- Staff/Student: Both
Selected participants will be awarded £30 for one day (brief morning session + afternoon 1 till 4pm).
- Dates: Wednesdays: February 8, 15, 22, and March 8, 15, 22, and 29.
- Duration: On the day, actors will need to come in the morning for a photo and video-recording session (approx. 15min), and then to appear in the lienup from 1 till 4pm.
- Location: King Henry Building
