Research Title: Malingering, Fantasy and Stroop
Survey Title: Acting tragedy
In this study we want to investigate how people process emotional information. We are looking for amateur or professional actors to take part.
There are many individual differences in coping with emotional situations, and one of the important factors is life events. You will be briefly pre-screened with a questionnaire about your life events history over the last six months. This will take approximately 15 minutes of your time but it will allow us to select participants who fit the criteria for the study. The procedure or the study is neutral and you will not be exposed to any stressful information.
After the pre-screening, participants who fit the criteria for the study will be called for the second part of the study which will take place at the Faculty of Science, King Henry’s building. In the study we will give you a scenario and your task would be to behave as if you actually experienced the described situation, and with that in mind to fill out questionnaires and do a computer task. Every participant will be rewarded with £10 for participation after they complete the study.
Volunteers must be:
- Age: 18 and above
- Gender: Either
- Staff/Student: Both
Each participant will receive £10 after completing the study.
- Dates: 20/11/2016 to 15/12/2016
- Location: King Henry's bulding, Faculty of Science, room 3.06
