Big changes for pensions…

In April 2015, two separate changes happened.  Pensions Reforms saw changes to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and these are likely to have impacted many members.  Quite separately – but at exactly the same time – the most radical changes to pensions in the UK for almost a century took place.

New pension “freedoms” now apply to any members who have, or are considering, a Teachers’ Additional Voluntary Contributions plan (Teachers’ AVC).

The Department for Education believe it is important that Scheme members are aware of all of the changes. They have asked Teachers’ Pensions and Prudential (as provider of the Teachers’ AVC) to work together to raise that awareness.

Prudential are pleased to offer pension seminars in your local area covering the changes and how they could affect Scheme members.  The seminars will include:

  • The Teachers’ Pension Scheme
  • The additional savings options available through the Scheme
  • The new Teachers’ AVC “freedom” changes and what they mean for Teachers Pension Scheme
