Are you a good eyewitness?

The Department of Psychology is looking for participants for a new study investigating the quantity and quality of details in eyewitness memory reports.43446

The experiment involves viewing a short video of a non-violent crime and then answering some questions about it. For this experiment, we are looking for people aged 18 and over who have normal or corrected to normal vision (glasses or contact lenses are fine). Participants should be fluent in the English language. If you are a Masters or PhD student studying Psychology, or hold a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, you are not eligible to participate.

Participation will take no more than 30 minutes and you will receive a £5.00 Amazon gift voucher as a thank you. You will also have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win one of three additional £15.00 Amazon gift vouchers! The experiment is conducted online, and if you wish to participate you will be emailed a link.

If you are interested in participating, or would like more information, please email Joanne Rechdan (joanne.rechdan@port.ac.uk).

This study has been given a favourable opinion by SFEC Ethics Committee – Ref. No SFEC 2016-018
