Don’t forget to vote in the EU referendum: 23 June

We are less than three weeks away from the EU referendum – a once-in-a-generation vote. The decision made on 23 June will affect everyone’s future, anEuropean_union_flag-8 - WEBd it is important that you don’t lose out on your chance to have your say.

If you missed the deadline to register to vote in the referendum then don’t forget that it’s still important to register so that you can vote for Portsmouth local elections.

Did you know that you can be registered to vote in Portsmouth at your term time address as well as your home address?

Registering to vote in Portsmouth will ensure that you have the opportunity to have your say at elections where you study.

Register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

How do I register?

1.    Go to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

2.    You will need to provide your name, address in Portsmouth, date of birth and a few other details.  You’ll also need your national insurance number, which can be found on your national insurance card or official paperwork such as payslips.

3.    Once you have been registered, it will be confirmed in writing.
