Get Active, Stay Active

Our ‘Get Active, Stay Active’ sports participation programme is funded by Sport England and consists of over 50 drop-in sessions and learn to lessons, all at reduced costs. A great way to socialise, have fun, and get active!Yoga

New ‘learn to’ lessons  

We are currently offering the following ‘learn to’ lessons, which are perfect for beginners, and a great way to learn a new activity:

Pilates

  • Start Date: Monday 1st February
  • Start Time: 6.30pm*Course Length: 5 weeks
  • Length of each Session: 45 minutes
  • Location: Spinnaker Sports Centre, Studio 1
  • Instructor: Alison Wright
  • Cost: £10 for 5 week course

Hip Hop/Street Dance

  • Start Date: Tuesday 2nd February
  • Start Time: 12pm
  • Course Length: 5 weeks
  • Length of each Session: 45 minutes
  • Location: Spinnaker Sports Centre, Studio 1
  • Instructor: Amber Jerome
  • Cost: £10 for 5 week course

Mindfulness and Meditation

  • Start Date: Wednesday 3rd February
  • Start Time: 8am
  • Course Length: 5 weeks
  • Length of each Session: 45 minutes
  • Location: Spinnaker Sports Centre, Studio 2
  • Instructor: Cristian Lopez
  • Cost: £10 for 5 week course

Yoga

  • Start Date: Thursday 4th February
  • Start Time: 1.05pm
  • Course Length: 5 weeks
  • Length of each Session: 45 minutes
  • Location: Spinnaker Sports Centre, Studio 2
  • Instructor: Claire Messenger
  • Cost: £10 for 5 week course

Get involved:

If you’re interested in taking part in this course, simply sign-up and make payment at Spinnaker Sports Centre/ St Paul’s reception.

Please note, if you don’t have a gym membership, you will be asked to register for a free ‘Get Active, Stay Active’ membership in order for the receptionist to book you on.

Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

      Yes, there are a few spaces left on the Pilates course – it started on Monday, but it’s not a problem for you to start this course a week later if you’re happy to 🙂

      You just need to sign up at spinnaker sports centre reception as soon as you can.

    Sorry but there are no spaces left on the beginners yoga. There are some spaces left on the beginners pilates, mindfulness and meditation, and hip hop course if you’re interested in any of those? If so, simply pop along to the Spinnaker Sports Centre reception to book on 🙂
