Each year students elect ten Student Officers and five Faculty Reps to represent them to the Students’ Union and the University.

Student Officers are students who are elected into voluntary positions to represent groups of students or issues within the Union and annual events or conferences.

Each officer focuses on representing students from a variety of backgrounds, including international students; European students; black, Asian and minority ethnic students; disabled students; mature students; LGBT students; postgraduate students; and part-time students. There is also a Women’s Officer position and an Ethics and Environment Officer.

Five students are also elected as Faculty Reps across the University, and they will work closely with our Course Reps and the Students’ Union throughout the year, to raise academic issues and work towards solutions with University staff.

If you are interested in finding out more about how to get involved and to put yourself forward as a candidate please visit www.upsu.net/elections  or email the Student Voice Team on studentvoice@upsu.net.

Please be aware that nominations close on Thursday 15 October at 12.00pm.

Voting will then take place online from 10.00am on Monday 19 October until 12.00pm on Thursday 22 October.
